72 year old retired guy's opinion of the new entrance..

Oct 3, 2022, 6:48 PM

Former IPTAY member for about 34 years. My budget doesn't allow anymore. My kind brother asked me to the game Saturday. Haven't been to but a couple of games since I retired 4 years ago.
HOLY MOLY.... THAT WAS AWESOME!!! from just one guy from the class of '72!

Wonder if ABC/ESPN will post the entrance and after game that they have recorded on their website? That was something worth watching again....many times!

It looked freaking awesome on TV! Loved hearing We Will Rock You as the buses approached. Can't wait to get back to the Valley this year.

Ha Haaa, I turn 70 the 27th of next month, and those of us that grew up starting in the 50's, 60's, and were going to games at Clemson back then, and what we see now would have been totally unimaginable. I mean there was no way I could've imagined DV being what it is now, and it has changed that much.

Take away the paw, and the Clemson name off the surroundings of DV, set someone that went to Clemson back then, and hasn't seen Clemson since the 50's/60's, drop them into DV from a helicopter, and they couldn't tell you what FB stadium they were in, even if they went to every home game in the 50's/60's....

That’s probably true of most stadiums around the country. Except,

When I’m in the restrooms near section 16 in the stadium at the fairgrounds in columbia

That part of the stadium hasn’t changed since the WPA built it. My big brother graduated from uofsc in 1970. Hasn’t changed.

The lights & video board enhanced the best entrance ever

Oct 4, 2022, 4:23 AM

It’s amazing how awesome Death Valley has been for a long time especially at night games but the enhancements have made it better & it shows off just how special Clemson is to College Football.

Clemson has something all of College football wish they had. Even Georgia has to take a peak along with Alabama & Ohio State.

You can copy the stuff but you can never bottle the passion Clemson fans have for it’s Family and the Upstate of SC, the good Lord has blessed us mightily because we are Grateful to be building into young peoples lives forever, Dabo’s vision keeps growing for Clemson in so many ways, The best is yet to COME!

This team has a ways to go but they might just have enough talent to compete for another National Championship if they keep improving.

Last year it seemed as though we were a long ways away from being great because of the injuries & etc. This year we look like a team that could grow into a contender again.

These kids showing up for night games at Death Valley are loving it!

FB Fans and teams that has seen the improvements of DV by being there, or on TV, are in awe of Clemson Death Valley FB stadium. What I saw on TV was a thing of beauty, and I'm jealous of the fans that can be there on game nights bc, I know that the all the money I have spent on FB tickets, and Clemson clothing for the past 60 years has helped Clemson to become what we are now, and I'm not able to make those trips anymore, and I'm filled with envy, and jealousy bc I can't be one of those fans in the stands anymore!!!

The changes really have added to the energy and appearance of Death Valley IMO. I’m a 1984 grad and have been to almost every home game since 2014 except the Covid year. This was easily the best atmosphere at the Valley since before Covid. I was watching the recruits go up the hill before the entrance and was thinking that these changes are probably helping recruiting as well. Then we watched the TV telecast Sunday night and you could see the recruits all with their phones out recording the entrance when Dabo appeared at the rock. It was electric for sure. As always, it’s a great time to be a Tiger!

I am a 78 year old alumni (class of 1970). I still attend most of the home games and usually a couple
of the away games. Our Clemson entrance is 10X the excitement of any team I have seen (in person or on TV) No team (Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State...you name them) comes close to the thrill and enthusiasmas shown by our Clemson fans during the entrance. ABSOLUTE BEST in the nation !!

74 alum Class of 1970 - Visited from PA for first two home games and was very impressed with the wide openness of clear visibility across the whole front of the new board - allows arriving players by busses and fans to generate even greater pre-rundown excitement! And watching the whole pre-game tv production for the NC State game was the best I have ever seen for any college football game in my lifetime!!!!

Last Saturday night was one of the very best experiences in Death Valley in all of my years of going from start to finish. Don't Stop Believing with the lights turned down was great. I always enjoy watching the visiting team, especially NC State, all watching the video when we hit the 4th quarter. Yet, look at the number of people that held 4 fingers up and how long they held it. It proves that the entire experience is absolutely one of the best.

I'm class of '70. It would be only fair for Clemson to give one home game ticket to any student who went to the games in the late 60's to cheer on the team. It was a test of intestinal fortitude to witness those games, except for the rainy Maryland game. Go tigers!
