Still haven't heard a good explanation here for Liz Cheney
May 12, 2021, 7:54 AM
|
|
This woman has stood up to her colleagues who pushed a FALSE narrative about the election and continue to push that narrative. She's more conservative than the person they want to replace her with.
Wouldn't the smart move be to look forward to 2022 and 2024 and come up with valid candidates and issues to beat the Dems, not clinging to the FALSE idea that the election was stolen? To not purge a successful real conservative from leadership?
Any of our resident GOP folks have a rational explanation for why this is happening? The other side can refrain from snarky comments. I'd really like to hear something rational. Which means don't just reply with "She's a neo con!"
Because from here it really does look like the GOP has become the party of one man--a charlatan con man who isn't even a Republican or a conservative.

so agree then, Republicans are not looking out for the best interests and health of our democracy, just holding onto power and appeasing their donors?
Democrats ain't much different, but then again I have never seen them collectively lie about the results of an election as a party platform.

Please point me to any information on them using the “stolen election” as a party platform.
And I see where you have already forgotten that the democrats pushed a conspiracy theory that trump stole the election with Russia. And they then spent 2 years and millions of tax payer dollars to try to prove it. But yeah republicans blah blah blah.

reasons I keep seeing for why this is happening is that she was a critic of Trump, voted to impeach him, and called him out for the election BS. I’ll admit I’m not educated on the details of this, but at first glance it sounds like she’s still sticking up for her party, just not for Trump’s lies, and it has nothing to do with her policy stances, which makes this seem really stupid. I’ll read more about it to educate myself, just my hot take.

The answer is clear, but you would not understand so quit trying. Maybe you can ponder the space-time continuum instead.

if the general narrative I'm reading is accurate...that they want her out for her support of the impeachment, then I'm not sure how that's defensible. Poor form and bad politics, I would think.

It's going to be fun watch the Republican party implode. If there are any Republicans with a spine, they will distance themselves from the Cult of Trump and focus on the counrty instead of one individual. Speak against Trump and you're gone...sad.

let the Pubs tie the Trump albatross around their necks.
Thanks to him Pubs no longer hold any house in congress or the white house.
But because he tweets mean stuff he's a "winner"
This is hilarious.

She was censured by the Wyoming GOP and voted for impeachment while representing a state that voted 70% for Trump. What did she expect? Accolades?

She voted with Trump over 90% of the time, which is higher than the person replacing her. So which is more important to today's "conservatives", policy or how much you fawn over DADDY?

of Cheney is more proof they did the right thing. Stefanik is a pathetic R too so the replacement was lame but the more that people who desire nothing less than leftist hegemony bleat about how she’s one of the good republicans the more obvious it is she had to go.
