Follow the deep-fried turkey tutorials out there, and by "out there", I mean on Tigernet.
-Make sure your pork shoulder is fully frozen.
-Fill the oil up to the top of the pot before heating to ensure full coverage.
-Protect your cook site from the elements by putting the pot and burner just inside the garage door under the carport, or at least on the pallet deck with a blue tarp stretched over the area.
-Make sure you drop the pork shoulder into the oil from a minimum height of 6', which will require a ladder.

Retail off road diesel is the exact same fuel as on road diesel. It's all required to be ULSD less than 15PPM under current standards.

Yeah, bunker fuel is around 5000 ppm and is typically only allowed for use in certain industrial, marine and locomotive applications. It is technically diesel, just a higher sulfur content for lubrication properties required by older grandfathered in equipment.

You typically pay sales tax on off road diesel vs the road tax for on-road (which is around $0.49/gallon in SC). So we are quickly approching prices where it will be "cheaper" to run on road fuel in off road applications because the sales tax total will soon outpace the on road tax.

was raining when we got there, waited it out in the car for 15-20 minutes, then only 1-2 short drizzles after that. Heard a couple thunder claps early afternoon yesterday as we were packing up, but no rain before getting back to the cars. 10 minutes later it was pouring
