why is what was supposed to be this year’s strength; a weakness? There’s needs to be some nut cuttin’ going on with the back up DBs this week.

The defense made an incredible play there at the end. Give them credit for that. But yeah. Wake found a cute little delay run play that for whatever reason Clemson was clueless to stop. That's got to get better. Still not sold of this new defense staff. Thinking Venables took the best defensive coaches with him.

We are missing 3 experienced DBs going up

a 6 year QB with NFL bound receivers. Couple that with what the mesh does to eyes, it was not a good matchup for our DBs. Noticeable difference to success and being able to just rush the passer and go zone late when we got them behind the chains. You have to get teams behind the chains for the pass rush to take over and help the DBs. The coaches have a big job ahead on DB confidence and fundamentals in M2M coverage

I understand the guys being out. But some of those guys playing today have been here long enough that they should have been game ready. Toriano and Covil are the only ones that deserve a pass today. Both are going to be great. The others have to step up quickly. No excuses!

Any team that has three starting DBs out is going to suffer.
