We should put sanctions on Putin, but at the same time quadruple domestic energy production to 1) reduce our own gas prices, which will help 2) curb inflation, and 3) hurt Russia financially.
Trump brought the US to a net energy exporter and Biden reversed it.
Instead Joe Dementia will do nothing on energy production because Mexican Asset AOC tells Joe what to do on energy.

We will never be energy independent. Being a net exporter is great, definitely a better position than we are now in, but we will always rely on foreign oil as well. Just to clarify

in the US dropped off. Look at your own graphs even with the dip we are still producing more oil than we were 4 years ago.
Increasing supply is always inelastic in the short term. Oil companies stopped production when we went into COVID lockdowns because there was a drop in demand. It takes time to increase that supply again.
You and your pub counterparts act like Biden went to some magical oil production switch and turned it off.

Oil production in this country is not driven by the federal government. It's driven by price and demand. It costs more to frack and refine oil shale in the US, so things like how much OPEC is producing plus world demand has a huge influence on how much American oil companies are going to produce. Keystone pipeline and new drilling leases are not a factor in current American oil production.
