If you were at the game, like I was you saw that FSU

had a major size advantage. I think BB was trying to put our big guys in there to match their size. Well, their big guys were and are much more athletic than our big boys.

add that to the fact we had 18!!!!! Turnovers, I am actually surprised the game wasn't more out of control.

We have to play better, and we are hurting by not having Coleman. We need perimeter shooters.

Like how alot of people here were always on Milt, I'm just

going to say one more time that Josh Smith is not an ACC player. I seriously wonder what kind of impact he would have on Furman's team. And he was a starter last night, the player we don't have any choice but to throw out there to make any effort to match up sizewise to bigger teams. I do agree with you, and like Brownell said in his postgame presser, we were only down by 5 points at halftime. I got the feeling in that presser Brownell just couldn't get our guys fired up for the second half.

when we made a run we'd then throw the ball away or shoot an airball. that was wyh trailing by 5-6 gfelt like 20. it was our inability to do even the most simple things like pass, dribble, and shoot. It looked like the first time these guys had played hoops after months off

Yep, 74. A ton of mental errors, and all Brad could do was

turn around and sigh when Filer started trying to fire up driving layups over FSU's 7 footers. One worked for Filer. I'll give him that. One.

I think that Colemans departure has hurt team moral and that will need to be fixed. If a vacancy was needed to add some scholarship players there are several guys on this team who are not ACC caliber players. Coleman definitely was and should have had a lot more playing time. But, obviously there are things that we don't know about.

Re: could be - wonder how the next departure will play

as we are still one over the limit or will be when the 2 signees come in. Kind of reminds you of the concept- the beatings will continue till morale improves

So, you're saying we're short, but make up for it by not

being able to handle the ball.

Ahh. Ok. Got it now.

Biggest team I've EVER seen-- there were no passing lanes

Jan 10, 2014, 10:40 AM

and our guards could not shoot over them from the outside or finish at the rim due their size. We actually were killing them on the boards most of the game-- not sure where it ended up. The turnovers and low % were largely due to their length but we missed some wide open shots early. I haven't looked at the other ACC rosters but I seriously doubt there is a team on there that creates the same type of match-up problem FSU presents for our team. There are certainly better teams that we'll play but they won't present the same issues as last night.

WE just played sloppy. Poor ball handling. Short point guards thinking they can drive the lane on 7 footers. And bullfighter defense. I don't think I've seem that many layups and putbacks in a long time. Very uninspired BBall. Disappointing to say the least.
