holy mother of chicken wings!

May 26, 2021, 12:48 PM

Fellas I just cooked up some of the best chicken wings I’ve ever eaten and felt it my civic duty to share. I used my air fryer I got from my mom last Christmas and sprinkled some hidden valley powdered ranch seasoning over the raw wings. Threw em in the fryer at 375 for 25 mins flipping them halfway through and wowzerz. Out came some perfectly crispy juicy ranch wings. So good you don’t even need sauce. These will be at the tailgate this homecoming for sure!

I was super skeptical about an air fryer we also got for christmas, but it makes the best wings right?

Super crispy and perfectly cooked.

Sounds great.

You will need to consult the Generator Gag for the best voltage and amperage requirements for powering your air fryer at the tailgate.

Just a quick trip up to the middle of the state. There were several chickens up there in the portal. You just bring a McDonald’s bag with monopoly money in it and they’ll follow you right to the butcher shop.

I tried some of the fake buffalo chicken things, and they are OK.
I spray with olive oil, add some spice, and cook at 415 degrees for about 12 minutes with frozen french fries. It is a quick tasty snack.

I found 12 wingettes at Food Lion, but

May 26, 2021, 4:11 PM [ in reply to Re: humble brag? ]

they were so fatty that even cooking them to 180* internal temp at 450 on the grill wasn't enough to render the fat off of them. A fatty, gross mess. I'll wait until the shortage ends before buying again.

Tyson wings, FWIW

I'll try that.
I cook 95% of what I eat. My most used appliance is my air fryer. When the first small one wore out got the biggest and best one I could find.
On chicken (and lots of things) I like TP Dust. I have lately discovered a curry spice that adds a lot.

I may use too much spice, but to balance it off use sour cream as a dip.
Now I am hungry.

Did mine fully thawed. 375 degs for 25 mins. Flip them half way through.

Chicken wings will be $5 a LB. by June 1st. Better hit Sam's quickly. I'm going tomorrow.

I find when cooking frozen meat or fake meat, a few seconds in the microwave is good. It softens them enough so olive oil and spices (I love pepper) sticks better.
Frozen french fries and onion rings are best cooked frozen. Don't know why.
