Our Tigers just won the ACC Regular Season with a 19-2 shellacking of Cuse. This broke FSU's streak of 6 straight regular season titles. The single elimination tournament @ Louisville starts Wednesday with play-in games.

The Tigers will play the winner of Wednesday's GT/Cuse game @ 11 am on Thursday. Our Tigers are the #1 seed and FSU is #2 seed. Link to full bracket below:

this weekend I was in Greenville/Clemson for daughter's graduation. We watched on my phone at various restaurants and bars. This team has set a really high bar.

JUST A QUESTION. WHAT WOULD THE TEAMS RECORD BE WITHOUT CAGLE. SHE WAS NOT VERY HIGHLY RECRUITED AND SORT OF FELL IN OUR LAPS. SHE WAS GOING TO DELAWARE. JUST WONDERING IF THIS THREAD WOULD HAVE EVEN BEEN STARTED IF WE WERE A LITTLE OVER .500 WHICH WOULD BE VERY LIKELY WITHOUT HER. RITTMAN WOULD BE JUST ANOTHER COACH WITH SERIOUS PROBLEMS. THAT ALL BEING SAID, I AM GLAD THEY ARE DOING GREAT AND HOPE THEY WIN EVERY GAME.

Highly doubt this and many more threads would have been. That said, I think there's a group, myself included would be watching if they were middle pack. The fun is in the winning.

be pretty good. Our other (2) freshman pitchers have been amazing this year but with Cagle being so dominant haven't had the chance to pitch as much. This past Saturday Cagle struggled a little on the mound (based on her standards) and ended up losing the game (although an error and mental error probably cost us the game in the 7th). So Rittman elected to go with Millie Thompson in the final must-win game.

I've been, and many others, have been waiting/advocating for women's softball for years so I'd be watching even if we were middle of the pack or last in the ACC.

Cagle was a diamond in the rough and hat's off to Rittman for finding her...he said he was at a tournament and kept hearing the "pop of the catcher's glove" and went over to investigate. She is a complete player with the highest batting average on the team....there's a reason she was named one of ten finalists for 2021 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. As far as the how would we do without her question...kinda similar to how would football have done without TL. Both amazing athletes capable of single handedly winning games. Go Tigers!!!

hasn’t been paying attention . . .

Yes!!! Valerie Cagle is “Top Shelf” . . . but a 20-23 Syracuse Team just beat her and blasted several HR off of her. While Millie Thompson and Regan Spencer kept them in check.

We are NOT a “One Trick Pony” Team!!!!!!!

It’s a tough bracket on both sides, my guess is we will play FSU or Duke in the championship.
