I think recruiting will be heavily affected by our decision

to either stay in the ACC or go to the B12. This is only my opinion, but with the Big 4 conferences (Pac12, B1G, SEC, B12) setting up their respective bowls, and the BCS probably going to a 4 team playoff without all conference champions locked in, the ACC's reputation will drop further than it already has. So, if I am right our choices are:
B12 = Recruiting at our current level or better. I think it will get alot better if we can be competitive.
ACC = Recruiting will begin to drop off as the ACC's status drops to the level of the BE. Our football team will be like the coots when they were independent, and were losing games to Citadel and Furman!

I will always care about and love Clemson. But when that happens if it does. I will give up my interest in college sports. My concerns for Clemson then will only be in the education and the educational activities. There is no way I could watch the teams I've loved for 50 years drop to that level. Guys, I just couldn't watch our Tigers wither away.

I think indecision and dragging out the talks will ###### some commits but they'll come around after things settle down. One thing I know is Dabo always pulls a hat trick at the end.

I could see us losing guys from NC or VA who want to play some away games close to home, but we'd make up for that by being more appealing to national recruits and guys that live in Big12 territory.

Clemson real rival is USC, just like FSU real rival is UF. I can't see either school keeping up if they stay in the ACC. The BIG 12 is the 2nd best football conference bar none, and will be that much stronger with Clemson and UF.
I would love to see Clemson and WVU in the same conference and would love to see WVU play in death valley.

I love how everybody says our only choice is to go or stay. First, we have to be invited to go somewhere. The chances that we get invited to go to another conference I'd put at around 10%. The chances we stay in the ACC, whether or not we're not invited to go anywhere, I'd put at even greater than 90%. I'd say those were conservative estimates.

If you are right, being a Clemson fan will be a nightmare!

Especially in SC or any other State with an SEC team. You must live in NC, VA or farther north to be so nonchalant about this. I live in Lexinton, SC and I am sick and tired of listening to the coots. I expect Clemson to be competitive no matter what it takes.

Big 12 is the fourth best conference right now. Pac and Big 10 are much better.

Some of you characters don't have a clue. You stay on the internet far to much and believe everything that someone who knows NOTHING says.
The coaches, the leaders of the university, other conferences and our own acc say that it isn't happening and you continue to live in a dream world.

Agreed, but where does the ACC fall on the scale? Is the committment to football in our league ever going to close the gap even slightly with the national power bases? If the answer is no, then we have no choice but to explore options.
