If somehow, we finish in a 3 way in the Atlantic Division, the game in Columbia would be the biggest of the year for an extra reason. There are so many pieces of the tie break possibilities that it just makes sense to want to be the highest ranked division team on November 28. A 9-3 finish would surely get us a higher ranking than Wake or NC State.

I can't seem to find the post but it was laid out nicely. Should we finish in a 3 way tie, the first tie breaker is division wins. In all scenarios we finish tied with NC State. NC State would have the head to head breaker.

The only realistic tie where we'd won would have been an NC State to have lost against FSU. Bad luck FSU had so many out.

I just don't see any scenario where we go to the ACCCG

Not in the cards this year I'm afraid. I was hoping BC would upset NCS but that didn't happen either. FSU fell flat. NCS's defense is just moderately better than years past.

But any combination with the ACCCG, the ACC gets left out of the playoffs. Which is satisfying if NCS happens to win it.

NCST will advance to the ACC-CG.

The reason for this is that the team with the worst divisional record is the first team eliminated.

CU would be 5-1 in the division.
NCST would be 5-1 in the division.
WF would be 4-2 in the division.


Once WF is eliminated from the 3 way tie the tie breaker goes to NCST.

The reason for this is that they won head-to-head.
