They’ve lost a lot of close games, and have some players back for injury (who were back for our game as well).

It was one player only FYI. Cattoor out for several games including the one against us up there. He came back for the uva game and then played our game. He didn't do very much against us. Doing OK tonight though.
Duke had their phenomenal guard roach out for our game. He's back now. had he played against us, good chance we lose that game.

if a team toward the bottom of the conference like VT can beat a team like Duke.
What they should be saying is that the ACC must have a lot of good teams if a team at the bottom can beat a supremely talented team like Duke.
We had 3 teams in the Elite Eight and 2 teams in the Final Four last year, after hearing all year that the ACC was bad.
Some of our fans here who keep saying the ACC is down need to learn from that.

which was formerly the ACC basketball model, which is to talk about how tough the whole conference is, put half of them in the preseason top 25, have them beat up on a bunch of patsies early in the season, and then when conference games start everyone gets quality wins and good losses to maintain the bravado that the conference is just so deep and strong.
I watch other conferences play. I’d put the ACC up against any of them when it comes to basketball. You’re welcome to disagree, but if so I hope it’s based on what you see and not what the national media narrative is.

was still the Coach . . . that “fist pump” contact would have been called an intentional tech foul, player ejection, two free throws and possession . . . just saying . . . Tobacco Road would have Ruled!!!
