At the gameday set, he said Clemson wins if Ellington runs well. Seriously? Of all the matchups this games presents, we win if Ellington has a good day? No disrespect to Ellington of course but clearly our biggest issue is our defense playing up to task, and if they don't and this game is a shootout our passing game is clearly going to be more important than our running game. Its like he just picked that idea out of a hat - they don't even try to be informed.

we need ellington to run well.we can not get in situation where we have to throw the ball the whole time in order to move it.

If we get yards on first down, and AE and TB have success, it opens up the playbook for Morris.
If AE can get yards on first down, and he and TB combine for 130 yds. running... we win the game.

We need AE to keep the pressure off of us and not allow ourselves to fall into 3rd and longs. They'll pin their ears back and send the house blitz at us

If AE has a big day, it opens up the play action. Also means we can control the clock, thus keeping our defense (and their offense) off the field.

I can't say I disagree. If Ellington is having a good day then that means we are controlling the LOS and we can be multi-dimensional on offense. If it comes down to a shootout I'll take our offense over FSU any day.

If Ellington is doing well that means:
1.Our O-Line is successful against their D-Line
2.We are keeping their offense off the field by sustaining long drives with the run
3.We are scoring points
Being on TV, sometimes you only have time to make a quick point or two... I think this is the best point he could make that has other implications, and was a valid opinion.

in a simple sense, if AE has a good day - the lanes are wide open and giving TB opportunity to pass.
They will be covering Sammy no doubt, so It's a good thing to me
