It would be that they expose the mind to the ridiculous farce of existence.

And if there were two things to say about taking magic mushrooms, the first would be that they expose the mind to the ridiculous farce of existence, and the second would be that one's tummy starts feeling rumbly about the time stars and porch lights and unlit candles begin strobing.

And if there were three things to say about taking magic mushrooms, the first would be that they expose the farce of existence, and the second would be about the rumbly tummy and lights and cr#p, and the third would be the realization that every utterance of man and beast swirls forever in a frothing whirlpool of nothingness, crying out to be heard, if only once.

And if there were five things to say about... you know, magic muskrats and all, it's that everything about them has probably been said a hundred times by prophets from umbiblical days and whatnot, and ... and... that berry smoothies are good, you know? I mean after coming down. With bananas and chocolate protein powder and spinach all mixed in and stuff...
