would not have been put on probation (2 years from the NCAA, 3 years from the ACC). Cofer and Minor would have been allowed to transfer to Tenn without Coach Ford's intervention.

The portal has sure helped some teams catch up personnel wise. Kind of takes the importance of great recruiting away. Not totally I do understand that, but you have more flexibility in building a solid roster even if you miss on a few recruits.

Prob wouldn’t have won 81 Champ either bc some of key players that had waited their turn would have fled after lackluster 80 season.
