Clemson and O31O State were both up 42-0 at the half this past Saturday.
Clemson scores 13 in the second half and is running up the score.....
O31O State scores 31 second half points and everyone is fine with that.
I don't get it...............

People are basing "running up the score" on the fact that our first team offense was in past the midway point in the 3rd quarter. They are ignoring that it was only our first drive of the 3rd quarter however.
Then they are adding that we scored with so little time left on the clock. Again, they are ignoring that it was all backups and the TD was scored by a guy who is basically 5th on our RB depth chart.
A lot of reporting these days starts with the intended finishing point and tries to build a story to get where they want it to go.

It doesn't bother me at all.
I was just offering a response to his question.
I actually love everything that is being said about us.
The only thing at this point in the season that can keep us from another playoff appearance is getting complacent.
Every one of these comments each week is helping Dabo to keep that from happening.

It doesn't really bother me.....I guess my point is that the "media" has a different set of criteria for different teams. It's quite humorous at times and at other times not so much. Of course their job is to stir the pot so......well played

backward to block for the kick returner before the ball is kicked...
Then the kicking team should take the gift and collect the on-side kick.
It does not matter what the score is.
It takes "zero" talent to play fundamentally sound football.

Joel Klatt were speculating in the first half that somebody at Maryland turned in Chase Young and that's why Ohio St kicked an onside kick up 14-0 and called 3 timeouts on MD's last drive with :45 left in the half and up 42-0.
If that's true, those guys had no business saying something like that unless they knew for certain. Of course, Ryan Day was asked about it in post-game and he denied it.
