playoff with the five conference champions automatic and one at large. Do you think Texas and Oklahoma would still want to go to the SEC? If they did go to the SEC, how many years do you think it would be for either of them get in the playoff?

The voting rights wield a lot of power but the rubber will meet the road if the alliance starts playing hard ball with ESPN. They will not like that one bit. I think that is where the power is. It’s all about the $.

but with no more than two teams per conference. That will be better than staying at four. If you stay at four, the expanded SEC would still have a good chance of getting two in. If you expand to eight, but limit it to two per conference, then the ACC and B10 will have a good chance of getting two in.

Just make sue there can only be one "at large" per conference, thus limiting it to no more than two teams total from a conference!
I know they will never agree to this, but I would love to see an eight team CFP, and keep the proposed, "top six ranked conference champs". So, there could be no more than two at large teams, and they can't be from the same conference!

Why do you want 2 per conference? The regular season and conference championship game already determined the best team in each conference. Only the champions need to play for the Natty. Solves lots of problems that have been created by the CFP money grab.

I'd take it one more step. Make it only conference champs. The top 6 rated conference champs. That probably includes the AAC. It puts pressure on ND to join us.

The best playoff scenario has always been 8 teams…I’ve said this for 5-10 years…what you want is what’s best for college football…what’s best is that everyone has a chance…it’s regionalized…all time zones are a part…all conferences are a part…the underdog gets a chance to make a run…this isn’t very hard…the NCAA men’s basketball tourney is the model…
8 teams…all conference champs auto qualify…let’s use 6 for that number right now…all power 5 champs plus the highest ranked P5 champion!!! Then 2 at large…sees and play…everyone who plays D1 has an opportunity… the best team will always win…will the 8 playing be the best 8??? Nope…no other playoff system in the world only includes the best teams available…it is all based on a regular season with a predetermined qualification system…but it will be the best thing for college football as a whole …all
Are included…all have a chance…the entire nation geographically is included…the SEC is too dumb to realize this…it’s that simple!!!

NO at large teams. All 8 conference champions. Give the small conferences a chance, and eliminate the independents. Join a conference or get left out. You want to be independent, then be completely independent. And NO second chances. If you can't win your conference, you can't win the Natty. If your conference is so big that it can't determine for sure who its best team is, then maybe it's too big, and needs to be split up.
