one is buried quickly, not at all. one lingers on for weeks.
Here's how it typically goes.
Initial twitter posts. Probably some MAGA dude. Stories go crazy for while, speculating is some maga.
They finally find that persons social media and find, oh, it looks like he was some serious trump hating person. Oh, he's a trans. Oh, he's muslim.
Then the story quickly stops becoming a story.
Always notice, if its some pub, that is in the headline. This Lousiville guy was a serous trump and pubb hater thus probably 99% a dem. Do we ever see his affiliation in the headlines? or even the story? no, we all know that answer.
If it is a Pub, that is the main story behind the dead. They will talk about how hate speech attributed to this shooting, etc..
I remember the gay club shooting and all reports speculated it was some hateful pub. yep, nope
