rubs me the wrong way, but I just have to accept that’s the world we now live in. I’ll still be pulling hard for all the Tiger sports teams though, regardless of salaries.

You have to remember though FM, Riley has actually been to a championship game. When Coach Brownell gets there, I'm sure he'll be paid as such.

The QB signee for Florida is not on campus because there is an issue with his 15 MILLION dollar NIL deal. That is more than most Div 1 coaches are making.

Tigergirl you need to go back to your powderpuff games. No coach makes $15 million and no player in college makes $15 million. I have attempted to attach an article from 8/2022. Please scroll down to read the section on Jaden Rashada. The 9.5 million was from August. The reported amount yesterday was 15 million. None of us are privy to what the exact amount will end up being but, Jaden initiated a bidding war. We do know that Bryce Young had an NIL deal of 2.2 million.
The OP was questioning an OC making more than a basketball head coach. The point that I was attempting to make is that there are athletes making more than head coaches. Some may be making more than their own head coach.
As far as powderpuff games, I will pass. I played in one and that was enough. I make an occasional math mistake but not in this case. I had the decimal in the correct place.

Nothing in that article says it’s $9.5M per year. You are speculating. It could be for 4 years. It could be paid out over 10 years. You have no idea.

Has he done any better than one time getting to the Sweet 16? Did he win the NIT? Did he win the ACC regular season title? Did he win the ACC tournament? How many preseason tournaments has he won? How many significant titles does Clemson have while he’s been the basketball coach? When you answer that then you could just gotta shut the hell up about football.

Basketball doesn’t make nearly as much money as football. Even at Duke and North Carolina football is exponentially more important to the bottom line than basketball.
Furthermore, BB hasn’t done anything at Clemson to deserve more money. Frankly, he should be happy he’s still employed at Clemson! Any other program would’ve fired him a long time ago!

This isn't "the world we now live in." You've always been paid at the value people put your position. Basketball, especially in the South, isn't even in the same realm as football popularity and money-wise. I don't care if they shut the basketball program down, as long as we remain elite in football. I think many others are the same way.

Has trashed the football program on multiple occasions in private, green with envy about the attention, fan support, funding recieved by the fb program. Football program is/was his goto scapegoat when bball team's annual shortcomings becomed a topic of conversation. A "Revenue producing sport" is a foreign concept
for CBB, complete gibberish, incapable of comprehending the meaning of that 3 word phrase: "Revenue producing sport" specifically as it pertains to football. Need more evidence than "message board hearsay" regarding CBB's rep as a habitual & shameful "snitch disser" regarding the football program?
