Kelly’s first “bad throw” was actually a good thing. The free safety playing off of the defender saw the open receiver and was breaking hard to him. I believe Kelly saw him at the last moment and pulled it down.
The second bad throw was, well a bad throw to a wide open receiver.
He also had the disadvantage of coming off of the bench cold. Hunter knew he was coming in and had warmed up.

This is exactly the way I saw the first throw as well. The coaches see these guys everyday and won't make a decision based on a couple throws Saturday. However, it was great seeing the potential Hunter brings the kid is talented.

HJ looked good on that short drive that started from the Wake 32, but he almost gave me a heart attack on the next series. A good CB would have picked that off and taken it to the house. Notice that Dabo put Cooper back in to close the game after that series?

I think it will be Cooper. He earned the number 2 spot in camp and its hard to make judgement calls on guys that played a few snaps of mop up duty with the game in hand. However, if he struggles again the coaches won't hesitate to put Johnson in. Just my opinion
Yes Johnson looked better but I think theres more trust with Cooper. Either way it will look a little different than what we are used to seeing as those two are more of your pocket passing qbs compared to KB.

Agreed. I think Cooper may do a lot better knowing he is the guy the whole week. He obviously wasn't expecting to play much Saturday and it showed. Will be interesting to see how it plays out

Johnson is so much better than Cooper, its not even close. You could see that at the Spring Game.

We’re playing real games now, and Cooper is not ready. Playing him would be a disaster. Hunter Johnson should be the QB if Bryant can’t go 100%. Even if Bryant is a little gimpy, Johnson should be the quarterback.

in practice and push each other for the start. Would lean toward ZC though for the nod just based on time in system but if KB can't go expect to see a lot of both of them throughout the game.
Syracuse will compete and it will take an excellent short week of prep work to nail this one down.
