Kamikaze Drones

You know it's gonna happen with the total lack of regulation. There are millions of drones flying around....untracked.
Is there any plan to prevent anarchists & terrorists from strapping explosives on these things and flying them into targets for detonation?

besides being tracked by GPS

Most off-the-shelf consumer drones can't carry more than 1/2 a pound, I am talking about something that costs 2k. Once you pay 10k, you can get a payload up around 30 pounds for expensive camera gear, or scanning equipment.
Unmonitored unregulated, unchecked? lol
yeah, try passing the part 107 to fly one of these commercially(over 5 lbs), also, good luck getting around digital fencing technology these days. heck, you can not get within 500 yards of a stadium, nuclear plant, or even 3 miles from an airport without prior written authorization from the FAA. It took us 2 weeks to get a drone unlocked to fly at the midlands airport, and we were working for an aerospace company at that airport and had permission from the tower.
your drone literally will not take off, nor fly into a restricted space, no matter how hard you try. To even get it off the ground, the first time, you have to register it to an email account and name. So yeah, they have a record of who you are and where you are flying. when you are licensed, you might as well pretend God is watching you at all times.

Huh?
That is as dumb as saying gun laws prevent bad guys from keeping guns.
Someone intent on using a drone as a weapon can get around all that and does not give a cr@p about FCC frequency clearances, etc. You can easily change out the radio and use a frequency not used by law-abiding drones.
Plus, if it is a one-way trip, no radio is necessary. Launch it, and it will auto-pilot itself to the target via GPS. "Close" is good enough for a grenade.

there are about 1/2 dozen ways you can be tracked flying a drone, starting with whatever smart device you use to unlock it with.

Yes, good luck creating your own navigation software that can take about 1000 recalculations per second to keep the drone from taking an immediate nose dive. I am sure ANTIFA has the R&D budget for all that, otherwise you are using the navigation software that has been FAA approved. Can you hack your drone to stop sending a GPS signal, absolutely Will your smart device that runs the navigation software give you away, yup. I guess you think you can fly a drone with a burner huh?

IF somebody wanted to go out and buy those little $200 FPV drones and whack people in the head with them at 40 mph, that is entirely possible. But you are out $200, so it would seem kind of dumb when you could just throw a brick instead?
