If it is possible to wear FSU's defense out...

Sep 18, 2014, 11:48 AM

our offense should be on the field first. I think that's always one of the goals of the HUNH. That is the reason we always take the kick given opportunity.

If you want to give up an entire series which could win a close game for us please continue unabated.

Time Jameis has the ball as much as possible. Its not like our offense will have any fewer possessions from kicking it to start the game

I understand where you're coming from, but do disagree...

I think you have to take the ball the 2nd half and try to put together a nice drive to keep Winston off the field even longer.

As far as wearing out their D the 1st half, I think you have to put faith in our D. If theyre as good as we all hope they are, then they should force enough short drives with a backup QB at the helm to give us the ball for plenty of snaps.

DL can't get whooped like they did last year

We had zero pass rush. That backup QB won't be any slouch, I don't need to tell you how they recruit.

Get a pass rush and the game gets interesting. Fail to do that with any consistency (like against UGA) and we get laughed out of Doak.

Agreed. Dont get a pass rush and it doesnt matter when...

We just got to take full advantage of them early because their O will struggle a bit. I don't care how good their play makers are they won't be as good with JW on the bench. It's going to be hard to just flat out wear them down.

If we defer then we can take significant time away from Winston in the 2nd half.

I appreciate everyone's responses.

I understand what every one of you are presenting. It's not nonsense but it ignores who we are on offense. We are a HUNH team and given the opportunity we will continue to put our offense on the field first.

That's called playing to win not playing not to lose. Do we not all agree that we need to be aggressive and play our game?
