It was razor thin if it was. Plus you can't even tell it was and it was called a goal on the ice. Guys in the booth thought it was a goal. The linesman was right over it and didn't call it offsides on the ice. Second the instance in question happened a few sequences before the goal was actually scored and had absolutely nothing to do with the play

NHL Coach's Challenges

I think it's super different than the football. One thing I've noticed is that the NHL doesn't really require there to be "concrete" evidence like football does. If it's a toss up, they typically give favor towards the challenging team. The same thing happened when the NHL overturned Daley's goal against the Sens in ECF game 6. It was a toss-up and they chose the Sens challenge. The one from yesterday in my opinion was extremely thin and so they chose favor to the Pens challenge...football is different because there has to be indisputable evidence to over-turn a call. Both challenges (Sens game 6 and SCF game 1) didn't have enough evidence to truly overturn but it was close enough that they gave it to the challenging team. It's frustrating. I think it should be more like football where they have to confirm there's indisputable evidence. Just my opinion though.
