Travis Shaw - I’m hearing either UGA or UNC now

Shaw was at UGA and Kirby and company moved the needle in a meaningful way.
Always tough to get an out of state kid, and Shaw may end up at UNC or still possibly Clemson.
I’m not the biggest Kirby fan, but he can flat out recruit and Shaw and Jalen Walker are buddies and Georgia is going all out to get this kid.
I personally think all this recruiting really messes up a kids understanding of reality. Then, they go to college and it continues. Then, the vast majority don’t go pro.
Then, life happens. And, so often it ain’t pretty.
Anyway, I’m hearing UGA or UNC now

He is a solid player and UGA

would have taken him and been happy to have him on the team.
But, so often in recruiting the players want to play and play early. Contrary to what folks might think, most coaches are honest about depth charts and roles.
Clemson has a solid player and the young man made the best choice for him ??

That’s weird, given the WR position is an unknown in 2021 at best. I’m not blown away with what’s coming in nor GA’s latest attempt to adopt an offense updated beyond Hershel Walker’s era.

Clemson’s depth at DE will be solid next year though.
Myles Murphy will be a junior and All-American candidate KJ Henry and Justin Mascoll will be 5th year seniors Cade Denhoff and Zaire Patterson were top 100 recruits Greg Williams will have another year of development
It’s not like it’ll be any easier to see the field early at Clemson like it would be at UGA

Myles will be a Sophomore actually. KJ a senior with another year of eligibility if he chose to return.

No.
Myles will be a sophomore this year. He’ll be a junior next year when Jihaad Campbell enrolls. KJ and Mascoll will be RS JR’s this year, RS SR’s next year.

Haha yeah yeah. Think whatever you want. Clemson is every bit in it as UGA and UNC. We get him in for all in cook out and we could very possibly close right after. But go ahead and listen to your UGA beat writers.

If he attends the cookout, we'll be firmly back in the mix

If not, then we are completely out of the running.

This kid is a solid player BUT he ain’t what UGA needs to beat a team like Clemson. IF he becomes a dog he will just be another college football player. The balls in his court.
