If FSU loses and then win out! They would likely take Orange

Oct 29, 2014, 12:00 PM

Bowl spot and miss playoffs (specially with such pro SEC bias). That would suck for us. I hope either FSU wins out or they drop 2 ACC games so we can win Atlantic.

There is a strong change that FSU losses to UL specially its a road game and they have a good defense.

FSU could still be in the playoffs w/ loss to UofL

Especially if UofL wins out the rest of their games and ends up around the top 10, and if FSU wins out and BC and Miami end up being 7-9 win teams and Duke is in the ACCC with just 1 loss.

Beyond FSU winning out so that we get the Orange - I want FSU to win for another reason. Seriously - if they drop one, they'll be replaced by Alabama (or maybe even LSU at this point). Anything we can do to keep a playoff containing solely 4 SEC-West teams, we need to pull for. I'd like to think Oregon or ND would take FSU's spot, should they drop one - but after last night I'm certain that wouldn't happen.

Unfortunately, I think if FSU loses to Louisville then they

will not lose again. I can't see them losing to anyone else on the schedule.

FSU has solid wins vs Clemson and Notre Dame

If they lose to #25 Louisville, they're still in the final four IMO.

I hope you're right, but FSU hasn't gotten a lot of respect

from their play. I think most people think they've played down to their competition all year & there may be a lot of one loss teams for whom the committee members will be more quick to vote in. (Mich St, TCU, etc.)

Just checked out Bleacher Reports site and they have their projected final playoff top 4
1) Oregon
2) Alabama
3) Michigan
4) Ole Miss.

I kid you not...they only give FSU a 22% chance of winning out. They say FSU loses to Miami.

Michigan?

I'm assuming he means Sparty.***

They should be seeded with one loss.

I'm not one for rematches so I'd eliminate MSU and take the other four conference champs.

ND has an agreement with the ACC that they can take any ACC bowl tie-in as long as ND has a record no worse than 1 off of the ACC team bound for that bowl. As long as the bowl wants ND that is.. That being said, if ND misses the play off they could end up Clemson's opponent or take Clemson's spot.. At least that's how it reads to me....
