we'd almost have enough to offer that QB Florida wanted in 22 years.

There ought to be a law against that!***

Where it's headed

So, with NIL paying the kids to play they are professional athletes attending a university. With a deal gone wrong legal questions come into play. If the contract was written, signed and voided then lawsuits will follow. I think this is a good thing. Will bring some clarity. HS players seeking NIL money will need to hire agents to take a percentage. "The Collective" that is issuing the money will also need to lawyer up and get the contracts in such a form that they will pass legal muster in a court of law. I think this particular kid will be like rat poison. Few schools will want to touch him in terms of offering NIL money. At this point someone (I guess the NCAA) says that coaches are not allowed to discuss NIL deals with the players. So the "Boosters" make the money deal and the coaches are just along for the ride. Worked better when the coaches actually were the conduit between the booster and the player and everyone understood how much was in the briefcase.
Since that has been tried and failed then I think we will quickly just get to a few schools that will have an appetite for NIL dominated football. Many may choose just to drop the sport and focus on academics and minor sports that will also help them with title 9 since they just eliminated the need for 85 football scholarships and the matching 85 female scholarships for sports that nobody ever watched. Sort of the end of big time college athletics. Maybe help to create a minor league for football that is funded by the NFL. Drop the three year nonsense along with any pretention of education. Just pay for play. When their ready call them up and if they don't pan out them cut them. We already have the model - it's MLB.

But if we all dropped a tiger paw stamped $2 bill it would only take 11 years.

I got a 7 yr old wanting to play some college football. She’ll be 18 in 11 years so go ahead and send some money this way and I’ll be sure to convince her that Clemson is the best choice.
