Deion Sanders. He’s quietly got Colorado ranked only a couple spots behind us and if he can get talent to go there he’d definitely recruit well at Clemson.

Deion is a “Prosperity Preacher”
That’s like saying there’s such a thing as a woman preacher. Women aren’t preachers just because they stand behind a pulpit. Non of the Apostles had much “prosperity”, either. They were all killed for following and preaching Jesus. Btw I’m not arguing just staring Biblical facts for anyone who reads this.

I think maybe he meant the same thing that you did (if I understand you correctly). I think he's calling Deion a "prosperity preacher" in the same way that one migth call Osteen or Kenneth Copeland a "prosperity preacher," - not as a validation of the moniker of "preacher," but as a criticism of how they use it for self-serving reasons. Although, to be fair in Deion's case, he's more of a rank-and-file believer in it, not a vocational preacher.

Doesn’t the Bible say god blesses those who keep his commandments?
Proverbs 3:9-10
“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. “

Neon is a thug, masquerading as a preacher. He only did the preacher thing because it allowed him to be the center of attention, which he craves. The narcissism and ghetto culture he teaches these kids is just appalling. Neon is the anti-Dabo in every way possible and would tear down everything Dabo has built in the Clemson Culture.

Whenever Dabo does leave, whether that be for retirement or whatever his next plans are, my hope would be that we'd go get an actual great football coach who maximizes talent and knows how to run a program...not Deion Sanders. He's got an elite playmaker in Hunter, his son is a really good college QB who may become a good pro, but they're a smoke and mirrors team, not a program that is built on any kind of firm foundation.

No team moving forward will be built on a solid foundation. It’s going to be the Wild West, buying players, players leaving, players recommitting at the last minute. Sadly, the Daddy Dabo days are over

Maybe, but I believe that he can still when it all without the portal. IMO, Dabo should put together one of the best coaching staff's than any he's had to date, if he would do that, he could win championships without being strongarmed to the portal. I say this bc those kids love playing for him and he has less players running to the portal than about any school in the country. Get the best coaches he can possibly get that can develop players to be as good as they could possibly be, that is all he needs to do to keep winning championships. He may not have the millions that it takes these days to bring in the 5 star type of recruits, but the athletic department has the money he would need to bring in and pay a really good coaching staff...

Not being able to beat good teams. Inconsistent coaching hires. Losing 14 to the portal since the Gator Bowl. Several recent decommits.
Clemson has NIL money. Enough to compete with almost anybody. #17 according to ON3. Claiming we don't is bogus. It's not a believable excuse further how Dabo uses it

I disagree. You need a firm base of players and then you pepper in skill position guys, a lineman here or there, etc. That's how Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, etc. have built their rosters.
Having a roster of 70 transfers is not sustainable and, in my opinion, it is not the future of college football. You cannot as a head coach be replacing 80% of your team every year because you will have nothing to build on from year to year.
I'd bet anything that this fundamentally will not change. To have any form of longevity you need at least some portion of your team dedicated to being there for more than 4 months. The backbone of this game--and maybe paying them TV money will be that change it--will always be developing high school kids first and the teams that can develop 80% high school talent and 20% elite, difference-making transfer talent will be the ones that win and that is what the foundation of the sport will most likely be built on.

I would like for the AD to go after somebody that has always done well with whatever team he HCed, but never had the chance to coach at a school like Clemson that can usually recruit well in FB. Somebody that his head isn't already swollen up, but could coach a team to a NCG at the right place, and he has always been respected by his peers...

It would likely need to be in 2025 or 2026. Dabo would have to retire first for that to happen.
Deion would make omelettes, but he would have to break some eggs first.
It would also depend on if the Buffs regress after Shedeur and Hunter go to the NFL.

I’m a huge Deion fan. As a player. Wouldn’t want him as a coach. Would be a step down and not even lateral. We need Dabo to get his head out of his moral stand. Get a real defensive coordinator and the best position coaches money can buy.

Deion has the same record at dies Dabo right now. He's revamped the Buffs from a 1-1 disaster to bowl eligibility in less than seasons.
Kids from all over are transferring there to play for him.
His starting point here would be a lot better than what he had in Boulder.
He turned both the Jackson State and Colorado programs around very quickly. His personality obviously would be torn off for some Clemson folks, but we are how well Dabo's doing in personality right now...and it's not good.

What NFL team would even give Dabo a second look? He's legendarily a bad gameday coach, and the Xs and Os are much more important in the NFL. If this was 2019 or 2020, you might could discuss this. Not now.
