I’m sure that

Many will call me ugly names for this post but I am very, very concerned about the future of the program. Coach Venables was a key figure in the resurgence of the Tiger football program.. I’m not sure there is another coach out there who can replace the loss of BV. We have already seen the de commitments that have happened since he left. He was a BIG BIG part of the recruiting task. Without BV the Tigers would not have a winning record this year. I can’t imagine Dabo finding another Venebles out there. Elevating someone already on the staff is a big risk. A lot needs to happen in the next few days. Wednesday is signing day. That is going to tell us a lot.
We will all watch spring ball very closely. The spring game may be a sellout,
Our confidence in Dabo will help and if ANYONE can pull this off, it’s him.

All of your concerns are valid. I think the thing Dabo has going for him this time around is he can actually show the results of his vision/dream.
I think he can get almost any coach he desires but it will come down to his gut and what he perceives as protecting his culture.

I loved Coach V … just like I loved The Chad. The success of any coordinator is not due to his genius alone but as Scott and Elliot have proven its due to a good team. Im happy for Tony and Brent, I’m proud that our program has the level of respect required to produce two D1 coaches in respected programs. I Trust that the team has the depth to keep it going. I believe in the way Dabo has built this program and I am excited in the future of Clemson football.

We don’t need anybody to be BV we need them to be their self! One thing I have learned there is always next! Another greatest! Go Tigers!

BV was the D recruiting, development and strategery leader. Most macho coach on a squad on geeks. A lot to replace. But Dabo’s judgement in recruiting BV and Chad has paid dividends before. Let it be.

If Dabo can’t do it he’s not even close to Saban

This happens to Saban nearly every year. Frankly I’m more worried about the impact of the NIL on Clemson and college football in general.

I can’t argue with that. QB is a real sore spot right now I can’t see DJ developing into a big time player.
The best high school quarterback I saw was the kid from DJs rival high school and he may win the Heisman this year. One thing for sure..., the Tigers will not have a candidate! I hope the new Texan is a fast learner .... and the OL improves dramatically!

need some depth in a few places but the first 22 will be outstanding. If DJ had merely been average this year we're in the playoffs. Don't need elite, just good to get back to CFP. Need elite to win it though.
As for DJ, he gets more patience from me for this off season. Offense needs to be adjusted to fit his skill set. That happens in the off season and is part of Streeter's challenge. If DJ doesn't progress Klubnick will play regardless very quickly. He'll play a lot anyway

No one is as good or as bad as you think they are. Everyone is replaceable. Dabo will steady the ship and we will be just fine.
