Destroy UNC as a result? Does that change the “eye test” and the sc loss is given a pass by the cmte or is it OSU no matter what at this point? Not sure we still are one of the 4 best, but this year appears to be a top two and everyone else so it’s all about the check.

If Tigers look crisp and it’s not just bad coverage or bad tackling with Cade in charge then yes I think Clemson would get a look at. It’s been done before with Ohio St and the won it all

Regardless who plays QB if he doesn’t destroy the UNC defense he will be the first all season to fail. DJ or Cade will look like an All American tonight. It makes little difference who plays.

Osu imo. At this point. That said, it might come down to the big 2 as you say. But I'd love a playoff of 12 teams this year even more now.
Michigan looked impressive at osu but haven't all year. Uga which I hate to admit, is the only team that's looked dominant.

You get no respect for no QB...if you have a good one they think you're made of gold...had to turn off the sound last night cause the vocalists were making me sick...USC was going to win big..Heisman trophy wrapped up etc. Where do they get these fools...Utah left one cat open all night so the game would be close...leave it to Rileys team thought it was two hand touch! For every team the QB is paramount...without one you doomed to be Clemsoning!

Agreed. We have to play Cade and win big for the committee to throw us in. Winning big with DJ won’t get the job done IMO. He’s too inconsistent and the committee knows this.

No, I'd be shocked if there's any way in. Ohio State and Alabama are both going to get taken ahead of us if TCU were to lose. Ohio State has less losses and a Heisman-contending QB. And I don't think any of us think we'd actually beat them on a neutral field. Alabama deserves it less than a number of teams, but they're Alabama and have Bryce Young.

The QB whose name shall no longer be uttered has looked so bad on so many occasions it just doesnt matter what happens.
A one-loss ACC champ may have gotten a little more love but its hard to come up with any scenario that includes the two-loss Tigers.
Assuming they even win tonight which is no longer a foregone conclusion. I think they may come out flat and listless.

I do think Cade plays a lot more today. Now for the big if. If he ends up somehow being a star reminding everyone of TL, there will be lots of talk about this being a new team worthy of something more. But I'm afraid that won't be enough for the playoffs. It is an interesting twist, though.

I think the only consideration would be for Caleb Williams being hurt. The committee has taken injuries into account in the past and really should in this case. If OSU was playing it would be different, but they should not be given the bid when part of the reason for the result is an injury.
