Love that they kept the "personalities" the same, even after they recast all the characters for the newest movie series. Especially Bones and Scotty.

Watched someone thread a Class B thru that tunnel. Masterful piece of driving and the 20 or so people watching all cheered when he made it thru (mirrors in).
Also camped at Custer SP for a few nites w/ Scratchy the buffalo in residence. The ride to Rushmore thru the the three tunnels that frame the mountain and the timber corkscrew bridge were phenomenal. All routed by a former Governor of SD on horseback. In 1927 Calvin Coolidge summered at the State Game Lodge and President Eisenhower later spent a few nights there. The lodge is staffed mainly with Native Americans, many from the Pine Ridge Reservation.

I was there last September. Spent 5 nights at Custer NP. Drove Needles highway 3 times we loved it so much. It was the midpoint of our trip. Went to Devil's Tower, then Custer, then Badlands. Flew in and out of Rapid City. Great vacation.
