Let the Bidding War Commence

A few thoughts on grand jury acquittal of DW4 today:

- The Panthers will have lots of competition for DW4's services.
- Up to 10 teams "monitoring DW4 situation" per attached article. Look for that number to grow.
- With the NFL 2022-23 season starting next week, Houston will be receiving many calls and offers. - DW4 has power with his no-trade clause. Houston also has power to not trade DW4 so they will have to work together.
- Houston wants high bidder. DW4 wants a great city with a franchise that can win. Tampa? Saints?
- I do not see DW4 struggling with civil cases. Buyouts are probably under consideration. These therapists will be put through the ringer as much as DW4 if it goes to trial.
- Do not look for DW4 on the cover of Good Housekeeping or Cosmopolitan soon. Or a Coke commercial.

How do you gurus see it playing out?

Every team without Pat Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Russ Wilson, Aaron Rogers, Matt Stafford, will be on the phone with the Texans, sadly I listen to way too much national radio and the consensus has been if criminal charges are dropped, every team in the league will be involved. I can see Tampa, roster is ready to roll, Saints--no sean payton, and in salary cap heck---do not see that one, only if sean was still there...I think the panthers are a legit option, i think a sleeper is the Browns.

I do see the Panthers as the team to beat, they can offer McCaffery as they have been said to doing, high first round picks and be ready to go....

Only real disagreement is I think he's gonna be in the public eye within 2 years, I think the teams that want him will have success if they get him and the world won't be able to deny him even if they want to...maybe not Coke or Pepsi, but he wont be reviled.

I hope he doesn't got to the Panthers because of their obvious lack of interest in past Clemson players.
