People saying that he reported on the radio that 6 Clemson defensive players had to be talked out of transferring to Oklahoma after Venables was hired.

Probably some truth to it but exaggerated, maybe a couple but I doubt 6. Truth is always somewhere in the middle.

but also some hyperbole. Im sure guys were distraught and upset and everything is in the moment now. Guys express their emotions immediately and sadly coaches probably have to take it serious.

he would not be too keen on accepting a mass transfer of players from Clemson to Oklahoma. If he does then we were all wrong about his character.

Agree with others. Maybe kellerman? I think. It was this afternoon so I really don't know. Anyway, they were talking wild rumors about Clemson and what was wrong with staff leaving, yada yada, even that sanctions were coming down. Bottom line.
They were telling everyone that all of it was BS. Complete b.s. essentially saying testament to Dabo and culture that kept staff together. Shocked hasn't happened yet. Said Clemson was Clemson and Dabo fit like a glove. That said, Venables helped Dabo as much as Dabo helped him. And wouldn't be a bit surprised to see CBV take existing guys as well as recruits. Mentioned Simpson, perhaps mukuba. Said Dabo would keep it together but wouldn't be shocked either if CBV didn't out recruit Dabo.
Talked about Dabo's biggest hurdle would be bringing in someone that could match CBV recruiting. Doubted Dabo had anyone on staff that could at this time... Said probably need to go with tried and true so as to not experience growing pains.
Anyway, I connected with it because it sounded reasonable and not just spin. Fwiw - maybe a penny.
