I thought “real fans” supported the team even when they’re down. So called “Brownell pumpers”, at least as are suddenly taking over the board, are bandwagoning adjuncts to the much more committed “Brownell Bros”. All Brownell Bros are Brownell Pumpers but not all Brownell Pumpers are Brownell Bros. And the real Bros probably don’t want your help and probably quietly resent being decent this year as their entire identity is wrapped up in defending the indefensible.

I thought “real fans” supported the team even when they’re down.
I think that’s where the disagreement begins.
Many fans don’t believe that, in a historic season, the Tigers are “down”.
Other fans believe that, if the Tigers aren’t up enough, they’re down, and maybe stopping supporting them will somehow make them better.
I know it’s crazy talk, but it’s logical to some. Right, Viz?
