I wonder if Tony Elliott is a modern day Ron Dickerson.

Nice guy, benefited as a coordinator at Clemson from some very talented players, but ultimately failed as a head coach.
Tony Elliott is obviously very early in his tenure at UVA. He will be given time to turn things around. I absolutely hope he does. But I just don’t get that “this guy has it” vibe from him.

Too early to say. But UVA will be patient with Elliott hiring former UVA players as assistants. Like you say -- a good guy. Wish him the best.

Considering the plays , passing routes, and game plans have not changed from T.E. to Streeter, it’s a reasonable assumption that the offense is Dabo’s and coordinators just call the plays on the sheet provided

I would definitely this so. I was never impressed with his play calling or creativeness. It worked because Clemson was so stacked.

If things don’t change in a hurry this season, Dabo will have to admit he was wrong and go get himself some big boy coaches. Is it the scheme, the talent, or the QB? If it’s all the above, could a star OC take what’s here, which you would think is plenty, and succeed with it? Tonight is huge for DJ to continue his momentum, and the offense as a whole. They need 50+ points and 500+ yards on LA Tech. They have to break through.

He did not benefit from us we benefited from him and made 6 playoffs in a row. It is absurd to think the talent overrides bad coaching. USC, Oklahoma even a Florida would have had similar success in the playoffs if they had a coach like TE. Sadly our basketball program could hire the best assistant in the country and still not make the tournament based on our HC

There's always a Chizik at Auburn but sustained success doesn't happen if that's the type of coach people categorize TE

He definitely won’t have the weapons that he had available to him at Clemson. Heck, my grandma could have looked good calling the plays when we had Playmakers like ETN and TL.
