Why do old men seem to fall for conspiracy theories?

Apr 22, 2022, 9:36 AM

My newest favorite is THE GREAT RESET.

"Noone will own anything and be happy about it", and something to do with the WEF and Klaus Schwab and lizard people.

Do old men just like being scared? Seemingly everyday, it's a new, worse, different conspiracy of someone trying to take everything they have. AND THIS IS WITH PEOPLE MY AGE.

I hate my generation. Well, probably yours too, but I really hate my generation.

Cause it’s on Facebook.

They love Facebook. That’s so strange to me. I never would’ve thought that the 55 and up crowd is who would depend on social media for their life advice.

Maybe they are lonely, and no one else will talk to them.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with believing in every stupid conspiracy theory under the sun.

Why do old men seem to fall for conspiracy theories? Because of Aliens.

Why does (insert demographic) seem to fall for conspiracy

Apr 22, 2022, 10:32 AM

theories?

Saw a Tiktok from a researcher in Antarctica (my algorithm thinks I'm a nerd) and decided to search for other Antarctica content. 80-90% of what was returned was flat earth/Nazi secret ice fortress conspiracy theories.

People like to think they're in on something that no one else has figured out. It gives them a sense of intellectual superiority. This is particularly effective on people who've been rightly called morons their entire lives.

I wish Tik Tok thought I was a nerd

pretty much my FYP page is nothing but people smoking meats and recipes. Oh, and FBCoachSC® sends me a video about twice a week of rednecks doing redneck ####
