Saw something today I had never seen in decades of driving

Apr 14, 2021, 9:41 AM

a person who used their turn signals completely BACKWARDS.

I had the misfortune of following a person this morning who just happened to be travelling the same winding backroads path as I was, using their turn signals completely wrong - multiple times, I'd say 6 or 7 times. If they were turning right, left blinker came on. Turning left, right blinker.

I don't think I have ever seen that before in all the years I have been driving. I guess I always assumed that knowing which way to hit the blinker signal was innate (up for right, down for left). That assumption has now been shot completely to h*ll. I never got a clear look at this indescript minivan/SUV driver to know his/her sex, gender, or age. I stayed well back of this moron, as you would have.

We need to realize that a completely new breed of incompetents are let loose on our streets and highways every day.
Pretty terrifying.

It does seem worse every day. Wait until this COVID

generation starts getting out into society on their own, it's going to be madness. They'll have almost zero communication skills, and be terrified of everything. Frankly, the one good thing is many probably won't want to get behind the wheel of a car.

get her vaccination shot. The freeway makes her nervous and gives her anxiety. She is 33 freaking years old.

Wow.

Your disdain for the serious affliction of automotive dyslexia is unwarranted and insensitive. This is horrible malady that affects millions of Americans every day. We, as a society, should not rest until a cure can be found.

typing my resignation letter now.......

Apr 14, 2021, 9:54 AM

I have disgraced myself with this insensitive castigation of the millions of mentally impaired and judgementally deficient drivers. They do mean well, and are a pure-hearted, unselfishly giving, vital part of our society.

I am truly ashamed.

I should collect donations to help.

Apr 14, 2021, 9:59 AM

It seems like the humane thing to do here.

I will organize a sit in at Clemson Marina

The food really is a lot better this year, so it should make things much easier. Guess I better check if they have vegetarian options.

Guest speakers include a 3rd grader from Blue Ridge Elementary to explain why left vs right is a social construct, as well as Tom Winkopp to detail why single family homes with lot sizes over 1/5th of an acre are actually detrimental to the community, and make you less happy.

rally to support such a worthy cause. We'll need t-shirts, so I'm hoping Cafe Press Jerk will donate these.

The really sad thing is the cure is quite simple

Apr 14, 2021, 9:58 AM [ in reply to Wow. ]

An automotive dyslexia specialist can treat this fairly quickly with a simple reversal of the turn signal switch wires and the procedure is covered by Obamacare in most states and 2 territories.

The issue is with all the misinformation put out by militant anti switchers has scared the people who need this procedure away from seeking help.

It was viscous internet bullying that led our resident physician to change his specialty from wire switcher to ######## surgeon.

And we, as Clemson Family, should CELEBRATE this AMAZING

Apr 14, 2021, 11:27 AM [ in reply to Wow. ]

UNIQUENESS at the next Clemson softball gane. Or baseball gane - but no one will see it because we SUCK.

Players could wear shirts, put backwards arrows on their faces for eye blackout, etc.

It would be AMAZING - and show how progressive we are.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Apr 14, 2021, 12:32 PM

they just happened to be travelling the same shortcut-to-town I was.

And believe me, it is not possible under any circumstances that this person could be wary or competent enough to sense he/she was being followed. Remember, proper turn signal use was a hill too high to climb.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Or maybe some mechanic wired it backwards...***

and no I'm not talking about the I26 exits past Clinton.

Celtic could probably find out why they do this on his daily tequila sit down at his restaurant.
