there were definitely a couple of times if we could have scored TDs, the outcome may have been quite different.

it was our offense who didn't get it done. How can you blame our defense for the two quick TDs our offense gave them on turnovers?

were a couple of times if Bama doesn't score things might have went different. Put all those small things together and they could have made a big difference.

that possession up. Would have been nice to see how Alabama would have played if they had fallen behind. We gave them 14 quick points that broke our back. We just didn't have the composure on offense to make it happen. I don't know if it was rust or intimidation or both but our offense just wasn't there.

Let me be very clear that Bama was the better team on that day and with the performance that we put out we didn't deserve to win but the score was in no way indicative of how closely matched we were even with a C- at best performance. Should have been closer to 14-9 give or take in my mind.
It felt very similar to the regular season game a few years back between LSU and Bama at LSU. 2 Great defenses, 2 average offenses and really the game was tight heading late into the 3rd quarter when an turnover and a big change of field position changed everything. Follow that up with a 3 & out by LSU and a long TD run and in 2 minutes what was a deadlock looked to be a "Domination Game". Bama won the battle upfront, dominated the field position battle, and made 3 key events that turned it from a down to the wire game to a "Domination Game".
1) The Turnover in the second half that we got in prime field position and lost yards and couldn't get a TD.
2) The pick when we're driving, even just pinning Bama back for once rather than giving them a short field could have done wonders for us let alone if we score a FG or a TD.
3) The pick 6, after that it was over.
