There will never be a play that will be more demoralizing than the Puntrooski. We definitely were going to win that game and everyone, including Bowden, knew it. That's why he called the play. I was present for both. While the on-sides kick was a disappointment, it was nothing like the Puntrooski. There was still plenty of time on the clock after the on-sides kick to respond. The Puntrooski was the nail in our coffin. I'll never forget it.

I remember Deon calling that punt return for a TD like he was Babe Ruth reincarnated. Almost threw up when the puntrooskie play was executed. Fun game up until then. Wasn't it rainy most of that day? Seems like I remember sitting through rain and overcast skies.
