The Beginning of a New Era

Sep 30, 2018, 8:29 PM

With the ball on our own six yard line and the clock ticking down in the fourth quarter, I turned to my grandson sitting with me and said, "we're going to see what this team is made of". Ninety four yards later, the Tigers put it in the end zone with 41 seconds showing on the clock. The extra point gave us a four point lead and it would take a TD for Syracuse to win.

What I saw in those last few minutes was a team determined to win, not just one or two players, but all eleven. I believe that ninety four yard drive is the beginning of a new era, proof that if we play to a standard, we can defeat anyone. And then our defense came on the field for the final 41 seconds. It was easy to see they were not going to let Syracuse even sniff a first down much less a quick march down the field.

I truly believe the last six or seven minutes of the game is the turning point for the remainder of our season and defines the confidence the team has in Brice whenever he enters the game. In that short time span, the fun came back for both players and fans.

GO TIGERS !!!!!!!!

My thoughts exactly, Mr. Joe. We all witnessed this team grow up right before us yesterday!

That's how I feel too. Dabo's teams are usually weaker earlier in the season, but get much better as time goes on. In addition, TL will do nothing but improve into a fantastic QB. Run the schedule and let's see how we look come the play-offs.

You should've seen my sphincter yesterday. When we won. No one moved. It was weird. I think everyone need a moment for their body to adjust after clinching that long.

Been at most every home game since 79. It was one of my top 5. The passion in the stands was only surpassed by the effort on the field
