You have about eight years on me. I remember getting excited to see his eyes light up and tail wag after a score as a kid. Good memories.

seriously? Have you been to any away games? High schools in Texas have better video boards...

Yes. Seriously. I have seen larger video boards.

I usually watch the field to see the game.

1

And never had a problem knowing the score, time, or down & distance, etc.

I think it will just look ridiculous and diminish how tremendous the stadium is.

How about the giant TV hanging over the field in Dallas? The #1 comment from fans about that thing is it’s too big and distracts from the actual game.

It would be cool, but I don't think it would work here. AT&T's jumbotron is attatched to the roof, which Death Valley does not have.

We sit in section C about the 10 yard line nearest the hill on the south side. When the play is inside the 10 at the west end of the field it is a little hard for me to see (depth perception seems to be failing with age?). When this happens I watch the play on the video board. This will improve my experience.

It's good for the people in the nosebleed sections. Seriously, all of the stadiums have huge video boards. Clemson is just a bit late in updating.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Closing off the top of hill more with rails

Apr 18, 2022, 10:21 PM

It is 60% larger than the coots video board and 4.4 times larger than Clemson's old video board.

Clemson's new video board is going to be 7,166 sq. ft. The old board in DV was 1,625 sq. ft.

The coot board is 4,464 sq. ft.

Auburn has one of the largest at 10,830 sq. ft.

It is supposed to improve access to the hill by opening gates on both sides where now the only access is on the south side of the hill.
