I Truly Hate The Term "Get Their Best Shot"

Why do other teams automatically get tabbed to play their Best Game Ever when they play Clemson. There is just as good a chance we "Get Their Ordinary Shot" or heaven forbid "Their Worst Shot".
Stop with the nervous Nancy non-sense. A&M is a quality foe but they are not the calibre in players or coaches as Clemson. Tigers by 20.

all cliches become passe. I get your point, but I think of it as they have put in extra film study, practice time, scheme time, etc in preparation to play us. I love the fact teams have to do it.

So, any team that plays us WILL ball out, wanting to prove that they have great players as well, knowing that "the cameras are on", so to speak. Don't get nervous about it, but don't deny it is a real thing, either. Play Clemson football, and the rest will take care of itself.

Actually I love idioms and their roots in history are a lot of fun. But I've never seen that before. A pretty good one to keep in mind.

I have to ask - What level of effort does CLEMSON need against TAMU? Our Best Shot, or a Walk in the Park, or somewhere in between. We need to know yesterday so we know how hard we need to practice.
