with no big time story lines being a re-match from last year. I guess being under the microscope is what you get when you are involved in big time games.
Boulware definitely gave the media more the right stories about.

Next thing you know they'll be debating about it on 'First Take' or The new Skip Bayless junk. It was already on Mike and Mike so I'm sure Cowherd will have to discuss it now.
Not saying that stuff doesn't happen in football or lockers, it definitely does, but this being the only game all week will give the media something to talk about.
Next thing you know why wife will see something on facebook about it from some random girl she hasn't talked to in 30 years who knows nothing about sports.

I see it as stupid behavior that young people do until they realize people can see their shenanigans. It would have died out but now this will be point 2 under Muschamp's anti-Clemson recruiting pitch.

the day for open field battles. My dad told me to win the fight.......period. There is no glory in losing. What they did was no big deal, but the PC, Mamby pamby Clemson Haters crowd are running with it. I guess they never watched old Jack Lambert play football. Ben should have let it die, but who cares? I am glad someone has the b@lls to stand up for his team mate. It is football, period.

Unfortunately it's not really the media this time. Yeah, some jerk got a hold of it and sent it to an offbeat, rarely read cfb site via a post. sbnation picked it up and I sincerely do not think it would have been a story until a lot of people blew this up on tigernet and started posting it on facebook, twitter etc.
Funny, hilarious etc - yes, all of it. Unfortunately this was my worst nightmare that it would dominate the media. and trust me, it's EVERYWHERE now. Its all you hear about.

Not saying tnet started it - what I was trying to say on Sat night when it was being posted all over the place is people were hearing about it and getting off of tnet. Had we (posters) not blasted comments all over tnet, the thing would have been a non story.
I actually hate that it was posted that CW apologized. That should have been kept between Dabo and CW... and not public.

I love that this part of the article was conveniently buried at the bottom:
"After Boulware’s remarkable comments Wednesday, I inquired with coaches and/or administrators at a dozen schools that played Clemson this season. The question: Did your team encounter any dirty or questionable behavior from the Tigers?
People from seven schools responded, and the answer was unanimous: nothing dirty from Clemson."

Impact on recruiting. When Clemson takes the field against Bama it won't matter, when Clemson opens the season next it will not matter. The only place it matters is the Ohio State message board and the USCjr message board.

And as for Boulware. You want a recruiting tool to combat those "racial slur" recruiting tactics? Well, here's your All-American white LB defiantly defending your black All-American DE. Yep, rampant racism.
I loved what Boulware said. He had his teammates back. We preach family all the time, well that's what family does. Embarrassing moment for Wilkins, but Ben actually added needed perspective. It wasn't sexual assault as some idiots are saying. It wasn't a malicious, dirty punch to the junk. It was a fun loving, great player and human being horsing around.
That's all, in spite of what a clickbait media and jealous opposing fan bases want to make of it

Pat Forde? Never heard of him/her. So glad he interpreted Ben's comments because 90 % I miss interpreted from Ben's own remarks. Ben probably should have kept quiet but that isn't exactly his style. I haven't even seen the Bailey deal. I saw a DB from uscjr mount Mike Williams, was that Bailey? Referencing the LJ incident is BS. Ben had him by the arm pit and his arm was across part of LJ's neck but it wasn't a head lock or choking and no one has shown that the whistle had blown.
