We should Sue Africa then

White Christian Conservatives would all get jammed in the doorway in an effort to sign up for Climate Action.

Thank goodness that Black Christian Conservatives are not so prone to environmental propaganda as to waste their time on Climate Action.

You guys are doing wonders for the notion that the Boomers will be remembered as the Worst Generation Ever, or at least the Worst In Recent Memory. The last Roman imperials might have been worse.

You guys are becoming known as "the generation of sociopaths", by the way. There's even a book with that title that made the bestseller list.

The younger generations increasingly could care less and less what you guys think...especially about messes that your godawful generation created and are not only leaving for us to clean up, but are shamelessly denying even exist. It makes us literally despise you and you'd be shocked how widespread that sentiment is getting. You Boomers grew up in an artificial postwar boom after the rest of the world bombed itself back to the Stone Age following WW2, and like all new money figured the gravy train would go on forever...and are now figuratively (and literally) borrowing money that your kids and grandkids are going to have to pay back.

Now you're just standing in our way. You're fighting tooth and nail to keep the rest of us from even getting started cleaning your #$%^ up.

Your legacy is going to be criminally selfish mismanagement. Of everything. The national debt, our natural resources, the climate. You guys are bequeathing the world a dumpster fire, while you stand gleefully on top of the dumpster giving all of us the bird.

Congrats.

You discredit your arguments when they’re founded on Townshend’s and Daltry’s “My Generation” philosophy.

Follow The Science? Enlightened thinkers? I don’t think so.

Far too many younger Americans have attended institutions of higher learning that treated them as consumers as opposed to students (which was the typical M.O. of colleges and universities through the early 1990s). Instead of acquiring humility (which is associated with a willingness to challenge one’s own beliefs and to ‘test’ those beliefs), the younger Americans who were treated as consumers by the colleges and universities. If a kid got admitted to college, he almost never flunked out. Participation trophy degrees. Thus, the participation degreed younger generation college graduates tended to have acquired hubris instead of humility. Further, because the younger kids received so much positive reinforcement from their professors (which makes perfect sense because the kids were treated as consumers), the kids naturally gravitate towards blindly following the missives of those professors who ‘recognized’ their brilliance.

See, these ‘age demographic’ generalizations can cut both ways.

To wrap up, please don’t rely upon a “talking’ ‘bout my generation” basis to support your arguments. I’m guessing that you’re just having a little bit of a bad day.

Regards.

Did you plagiarize this from Greta Thunberg ?

"bequeathing" doesn't sound like a word that's used frequently in South Carolina.

it sounds more like a word YOU had to consult a dictionary for. It is associated with Inheritance, so a very sarcastic and clever word usage when describing the "inheritance" of younger generations from the reckless and greedy generation that came before them.

Things are definitely changing. My wife had me build a fire in the fireplace last Saturday. Never done that 2 days prior to Memorial Day.
