I think Watson is innocent

Apr 9, 2021, 8:24 PM

Look I’m sure he did have sexual relations or acts with females. But I don’t believe he forced anyone into anything. Did Watson do something morally wrong yes he most likely did. However did he break a law I don’t think so. This is all a big money grab by a bunch of women. If Watson just lets it play out in court I believe Watson wins and pays nothing. Because what proof can these women possibly have? All they have is saying Watson did this or that they can’t actually prove it.

All they want is a check and that includes their lawyer.

If he did all this with trans"women," he'd win an ESPY***

If the result of this ends of being Watson simply having to pay them

Then he greatly miscalculated when he refused to pay them up front before any of this came out. He could’ve saved his name and endorsements.

One more time. The women do not have to actually prove anything, all they have to do is make a jury believe there is a chance that something happened.

If it’s that easy then any woman can yell sexual assault on any man. Cry and pout to a jury and collect a payday seems very unfair to me.

Uh, no! This is NOT true

Apr 9, 2021, 11:56 PM [ in reply to Re: I think Watson is innocent ]

A jury trial won't happen, but if it does,

The burden of proof is completely on the plaintiffs and they would have to convince all 12 jurors beyond a reasonable doubt that a crime was committed.

Methinks you confuse the arena of public opinion with an actual jury. If there isn't any evidence, there will be no conviction. However, after graphic testimony, Deshaun's reputation would be destroyed.

A settlement is coming. Buzbee will continue drawing blood from Deshaun until negotiations begin.

If this is a civil proceeding there may or may not be a jury. Some cases are decided by a judge. There is no "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard in a civil trail. The standard is whether it is more likely than not something happened.

You're wrong too. The reasonable doubt standard is a criminal law standard. They just have to show it's more likely than not that he did something (called the "preponderance of the evidence.") Also, the victim's testimony counts as evidence. So there is evidence even in he said, she said with nothing else. It's just a matter of who's more credible to the jury.

we will find out if the 20 Jane Does or 40 like Judge K says

Apr 10, 2021, 4:31 AM

are still Jane Does or if they are really girls that have a legitimate complaint.

Hey Suzy, I want to use you an an anonymous complainer. You get 50% of the take from some rich entitled athlete. You get a few thousand dollars for your trouble, which is nothing to multi-millionaire athlete guy.

Suzy: Sure sign me up!

Hey Suzy...oh well, The Judge says you have to face your accused and get deposed for court and then show in court to face the accused.

Suzy: uh...

I agree with you. Let’s see how many Jane Does file a case with their name. Hardin will get the timeline together, run investigations, and the truth will come out. HPD also has the one complaint to investigate. At least DW4 will no longer be fighting anonymous accusations.
