Keatts is on a much hotter seat than Brownell.

So it doesn’t make sense at all from that perspective.
One or two reasons are most likely:
1. We are actually going to pay our assistants a competitive ACC salary now, since Neff cares about basketball, and Brad encouraged him to leave because we are upgrading our staff.
2. NC State offered him a raise and we didn’t match it.

Wrong. The seats are equally as hot.

It's next year or done for both, period.
One has coached 12 years at his current school and has a 0.568 winning percentage. The other has coached 5 years at his current school and has a 0.570 winning percentage.
It's next or bust, for both. No difference.

Nothing like looking for job security when your head coach is on the hotseat...

CBB met with Neff at the end of the season. Nevertheless, Clemson basketball is going to change next year. Either the program will elevate or Clemson will go in a new direction. The writing is clearly on the wall.

Dean was our best recruiter, doubt he was asked to leave

Richardson was active in recruiting as well. Parallel moves are not a good look. No way these two were told to find other jobs and #### Bender stays

Which then goes back to the writing on the wall and the two of them jumping ship before it sinks. It’s clear that next year will be a make or break year for the basketball team. Changes are coming in one form or another. Either CBB elevates the program or Clemson moves in a new direction at the head coach position. It is pretty clear.

Stating that the writing is on the wall and that changes will happen one way or the other is complaining? ??. Okay.
I guess, under your thought process, that “good fans” should not expect the best out of all the athletic programs? Got it.

Which is different from saying if we pay our current coaches more they would coach better.

If that’s what it ultimately takes, then absolutely.

But that said, if the admin raises those stakes, then it shouldn’t take 10 years to get a better product.
Judge, I’ve not lashed out against you like the others. I really would like to see CBB succeed. But at some point we have to quit coming up with excuses and start making priorities. If we keep doing what we’ve been doing, we’re going to keep getting the same results.

He's had 11 coaching jobs since 1997 (24 seasons) and two of the 11 jobs accounted for 10 of those 24 years. I don't have any clue why nor is it my concern but just interesting?

Judge, can you tell us what is going on with the BB staff since you seem to know so much about the program?

Just another example of Brown L's transfer portal magic at work.
All he does is win win win, no matter what what what.

Things that make you go - hummmmmm mm
Apr 16, 2022, 1:52 PM

Brad - in his 45 minute - lack of details about he was going to finally turn the program around - said the other assistant left - but not for money. Said it equal. 1. If not money - then - why? 2. I guess it kills one of the “talking points” of why BB was not successful. Assistants Pay.
Now, another one. Pay? Doubt it but maybe.
I guess the assistants did not realize how impressive having the 7th most wins in the ACC over the past 5 years and finishing 10th this past year - really is.

It’s gotta be facilities then. That’s the only explanation for why Brad hasn’t done better than mediocre. There can’t possibly be another, maybe even more obvious, explanation. It’s such an enigma.

So I guess throwing more money at the problem doesn't cut it. Maybe just maybe they don't like the person or people they're working for. But on the positive side, maybe this opens the door to spend more money on better coaches. This and a new dining room should fix the basketball problems. Maybe add another practice court or so.

We will know a lot more when we find out who the replacements will be. I do not see this as a bad thing. We need some changes.
