you have to go with someone who has some experience at that job. I really like some of our defensive coaches, but a program like Clemson (if we are to remain a program like Clemson) has to hire experience at coordinator.

If I were Dabo, I would have already asked BV for a list of the top 5 up and coming DCs in the country.

On the other side of the ball, I hope that TE stays. I am convinced that our offensive woes were the result of QB play and other personnel problems. In fact, I think TE did an excellent job of adapting to the circumstances that the O found itself in.

Clemson has been elite for the last ten years and I think Dabo will help keep us there going forward. But make no mistake about it - He has to hit a homerun in replacing BV (and possibly TE). And he has to adapt to recruiting with the transfer portal or we will not remain an elite program.

That is what is at stake here.
