Adding ND would be huge, and if things fall our way, I would love to have a shot at killing their dream.
No real downside for us, because we either don’t make the ACCCG, or we do and have next to nothing at risk. This would make the ACC relevant in the CFP race this year, even if we don’t put a team in the field.
Would make for a better game in Charlotte, too. Wonder who the opponent would be? There would be a huge revolt in the division that lost their slot…and particularly the division winner. Pitt will likely be the highest ranked division winner. Interesting to talk about, but I don’t see it. Both division winners will be ranked. Pretty unfair. But money makes people do strange things.
Would DEFINITELY support this if it meant abandoning the division structure and putting the two best teams in the ACCCG permanently. AND in non-conference games between ACC members were permanently prohibited.

Honestly, we could beat ND. Of course we can hang with and beat anyone. On the flip side we can lose to anyone in the top 60 with this offense.
That being said, I would be ok with it. Our chances are slim and none. But if your Wake and State you would be pissed.
Notre Dame is foolish for not realizing they are going to need this championship game moving forward in the new world order. They should just bite the bullet and join the league. They can still play SC, Army etc.

Offering ND a spot in the ACCCG at the end of the regular season would be the dumbest thing ever. I believe they should be in a conference and putting them in the ACC would be fine just has to be done before the season starts. I don’t think any team should be able to skip playing Championship Saturday, play one less game and make the playoffs.

I ve also read the the Irish will come if we let their non conference games count as acc wins. Navy and army.
So will recruits come and play in a league that rigged for Notre Dame to get to the acc championship every year? Will people watch the acc network for that?

then join full time in the off season and earn a shot to play in it next season..this has to be one of the most asinine things i have ever heard..let wake and nc state earn a shot at it only to give it to notre dame just cause.
