Ben Boulware and the NFL???

I'm interested in Tigernet's thoughts on Ben's NFL potential?
Early or late rounder? Starter or career backup?
When I watch Ben play, I see a lot of Luke Kuechly and Kevin Greene.
Im hoping he has a great and extended career at the next level!

Ben is smart and tough, but he isn't the fleetest of foot.

Size and speed will hurt him. Heart will get him picked day 3.

I'm afraid he will be a career Special Teams player. He will be a good one though.

NFL players can make up for a lot of skills that NFL coaches like to see from their players in the NFL, but you can't make up for a big strong heart that has no fear, and Ben Boulware has that type of heart. He will prove the doubters wrong, that is who Ben is, a person that don't listen to anyone telling him he can't do it, he will bust his heart just to prove them wrong!!!

I think he will surprise some people hopefully. Under the right circumstances I think he could be a good NFL player. He kinda reminds me of a shorter Brian Urlacher.

Just like Zach Thomas did well, Ben can see where the play is going and be there when he needs to be without having that blazing speed most LB need to get to the play. I believe Ben will make it bc of the ability to see where the play is going....

Probably a middle rounder, and I'd expect him to move inside - he really doesn't have the athleticism to run with NFL backs in coverage - but if BJ Goodson can get drafted in the fourth round, sorry, Boulware's a significantly better player. Goodson was a really solid meat-and-potatoes A-to-C-gap run-stuffer; there's a lot more to Boulware's game than that.
If I need any kind of help at MLB and if he's still on the board at any point after the second round, he'd be high on my Wish List.
The guy has made as many big plays as any linebacker in college football over the last three years, period. You look for bang-for-the-buck from the third round on...a couple years ago, the Falcons stole Grady Jarrett for the bargain-basement price of a fifth rounder and somebody is going to get that kind of player with Boulware too because like Jarrett he may not have the kind of size, length, or 40-time NFL scouts might prefer but the dude can flat-out play. He doesn't make an "impact", he leaves a freakin' crater.

He reminds me of Zach Thomas who was less athletic than Ben and he managed to dominate the position by taking great angles, being aggressive and working on his speed and pas coverage. He will start at the LB position in my opinion.
He was 5-11 ( maybe) 242 lbs

Ben has the it factor for the NFL

Ben's only limitations, literally, are his speed and height.
He won the Lambert award this year (given to the BEST linebacker in the country). Think Khalil Mack, Luke Kuechly, Von Miller, etc.
I'd sign him in a heartbeat but I'd also rather have Tajh Boyd than Goff, Sanchez, Fitzpatrick and about 10 others. Maybe I'm just a homer. Or maybe everyone is blind.

Mid to late rounder depends on his fourty time. Kueckly ran 4.5 I believe. No to Kevin Greene it takes more than skin pigmentation to find similarities in style if play.

More like Teddy Bruachi. 0n paper, you're like no way. But the you seen him play, his passion, heart and understanding of the game. He's got a shot. Even if long he can prove himself and earned right to do so.

No offense but the only thing Boulware and Kuechly have in common is their race. Which is why you grouped them together. Ben is a nice hardworking college player who might make an NFL roster and Luke Kuechly is a future hall of gamer. Kuechly is much much faster

his speed will test well at the combine but I do think his intangibles are off the chart and I could see him having a long nfl career.
