against any other team like this!
How many times have we had TDs come after 3rd down phantom pass interference calls? What about losing 2 games to GT with BS missed calls. Not word one about it.
ESPN is pissed they couldn't cue up all the "Clemsoning" stories they had filmed during the bye week (aka what Jesse Palmer pleasures himself to). What a ####### joke of a network.

No it didn't. We were winning that game regardless. The talent difference on that field was obvious to anybody who has played. State played above themselves, but that is to their credit.

"that missed call helped prevent a huge upset."
What a load.
Just went and read a few of your past posts "E 'Tiger'" (yeah - Tiger - right . . . ) . . . go back under your rock - seriously.
Uhhhh - Danny - pre-'90's grad . . . do you seem to recall a BRAWL with Maryland on the home sideline where helmets were being used as clubs against a Maryland player that was run out of bounds ?
Yeah - Danny grabbed, suspended and cussed out those 5 to 8 players on national TV - right ?
Quit living in the past and making it seem like something it wasn't . . . you sound like an old man.

After all the junk from ESPN, the Wolfie fans started talking all kind of trash. It was not a pretty sight.

There is no "green" at all. Simply the outline of his foot curving out into the chalk.

green. Does the fact that the white line is not straight in that area not influence your decision or are you missing that too?

You are the one that needs glasses there is no green between his foot and the line. His foot is clearly on the line which means he is out of bounds.

the ball carrier? Do you not see the red bleeding off hi left cleat? To you not see the color of the grass distorted in front of the player? It's pixilated way too much for it to be reliable. Zoom in extremely close and the player's colors come out around his body.

and look at his heel. Now we cant see his toe, but that shot proves the twitter picture is distorted. Look how much farther the heel looks from the sideline in HD than it does in the twitter pic. It's unreliable.

of sheer coincidence. Or maybe he's moving so fast that he has the power to bend light around him.......I see him touching a line and that's all I need to see. The UNBIASED ref and I agree. That's all that matters.

If you are looking for grass you've made your first mistake.
Sep 20, 2013, 9:07 AM
[ in reply to This doesn't look like a missed call in this pic ] |

Officials don't look for grass as do we fans. They look for the white line. If you can't see the inside edge of the white line and the player has his weight on the foot he's out.
That was exactly the reason Seckinger was called out on his TD. The official was behind him and the heel of his planted foot obstructed view of the inside edge of the white line. Correct form by the official but he was shown to be incorrect by the replay.
The booth officials dismissed a replay due to ESPiN not showing them the rear view (what the on-field official saw) becuase they couldn't share his perspective.
Why do you think there is a black band around home plate on a baseball field? The contrast between the white ball and the black band make it easy to distinguish even the smallest 'touching,' of the strike zone.
Looking for grass is a rookie fan mistake, look for the inside of the white line. Clearly, the runner's plant foot is obstructing it.

Wasn't a missed call. The YouTube video that says "missed call" shows him stepping on the line. The angle Palmera kept showing the knee is blocking the view.

the camera angles were bad and the ref. was closer to the play than the announcers so I think he must have gotten it right.
Did not see NCST coaches put up much of a fight
They just wanted something to talk about as if their opinion was worth something to those on the field
Maybe the announcer got it wrong.

If you look closely at the replay video you can see his foot clearly on the line. The call was not missed, it was the correct call.
