a redshirt freshman or sophomore that is ready. We lost Taisun and never replaced him. Then we signed a QB that went pro baseball. Still no replacement.
Dabo screwed himself by not getting a serviceable QB from somewhere to backfill our loses.

I was hoping Hunter Johnson would be the capable back up with experience. But I have not even seen him on the sidelines this year. Dabo got him back via the transfer portal.

DJU stunk it up today (mostly with awful decisions).
But for Cade, Christopher Vizzina (who I think will eclipse both DJU and Cade in short order) won't be successful either if we don't get better WRs in a hurry.
Antonio Williams is excellent. We need more than him to have an effective WR unit.
Adam Randall needs more time to recover from his ACL injury. He seems fast enough (not a burner, but OK with speed), has very good hands, blocks well ... but can't get open because he has no lateral quickness or clever moves to get open. Again, maybe having a full year for his ACL to continue healing will make the difference.
B.Spector needs to be moved to DB. He can excel on Defense; the WR deal just isn't working for him.
B.Collins will never be more than average. He's brittle, can't hold his ground (gets run out of bounds by even average DBs), doesn't block well, and has mediocre hands. But he is tall ...

EJ Williams needs to hit the portal. Let's hope for his sake that a change in scenery will help him.
T.Stellato. Two years of doing nothing doesn't give us much reason for optimism. Maybe he'll work out.
Ngata has done his 4 years. If he wants a COVID year, then it would be smart to take that elsewhere.
Cole Turner? Who knows, other than he's got to be better than the sexuplet of the non-A.Williams / non-A.Randall guys.
Tyler Brown? Ronan Hannifin? Noble Johnson? Misun Kelly? Other WR recruits? Holding my breath (we need some of them to be good).
No QB nor any O-Coordinator can succeed at a high level with this Bad News Bears group of WRs.

Don’t forget Drew Swinney. The fact that he was lined up at X on the potential game winning drive in the 4th quarter is an absolute embarrassment.
It’s cute if you want to make your kid the human victory cigar when we are up by 30+, but to put him out there when the game is on the line is lunacy. I’m sure he’s smart and tries hard, but he is barely a D1 athlete who wouldn’t make any other team unless his dad is HC, even in the ACC.

I think he's like 4th string QB now. Some say he's more like a tutor for the younger guys but will never play. Disappointing.

The fault of poor play falls entirely on the coaches. These guys are going out there and giving everything they have to try to win for their teammates. If they weren’t properly prepared, or aren’t the right person to be on the field, that is entirely on the person who put them into the game. Bunch of losers on a message board making stupid jokes isn’t gonna help anything; it’s just the act of self-indulgent little babies.

What I do know is this is the most viewed Clemson site on the web, and that its post often get re-posted on other websites. So Clemson “fans” putting cry baby BS out here where everyone can see it is the opposite of supporting the team.
