Out puttering around in my newly bought 14' Skiff @ Beaufort sc.

Sadly I gave up my neat 14' Boston Whaler Jet-Drive Boat after 23 years of "maintaining" it. She's missed but will be nearby in SAV but up on the rear of a 47' Trawler.
The skiff shown (aka a SPuD inspired sideways pic) is longest ever owned (last 10' & 8' dinghy) and think 12' might be ideal length.
The outboard on this 14' 1959 Larson fiberglas skiff is an old Merc 8hp which isn't gonna cut it so looking for a 9.9 or maybe a 15 which really may be too heavy but maybe not if I sit in middle and use a 52" outboard handle extender.
Gonna be heading over to Hilton Head Island early tomorrow in the infamous decal camper van to watch game at either Pie, The Fish or Frosty Frog (Ha, great choice of names).
I'll be wearing a new Dabo-inspired Nike Brand Purple sports knit pull-over with orange PAW, newly gifted Orange tennis shoes, ole-school orange baseball "C" cap and blue jeans.

The rig looks pristine. Must have very low ours and/or very well maintained.
With modern technology, I would thing a 15 HP would not be too heavy to weight it down too much.

Consider what I did on both of my boats, LBB. Install stick steering and you never have to leave your front seat. I love it but its not for everyone.

Went out for a run to downtown and back. Would have stopped and said hello, but had to squeeze this run in. Family in town. Hope you have a great, safe time on the water!
